On this page you can read about the history and
future of IVTV, as well
as some interesting press releases shown here!
The history of IVTV
Once upon a time after having partyed too much, two friends decided
that they should spend their paychecks no longer on beers or great danes
but on a camera, so they could film the crazzzy happenings in
a town called Isla Vista.
Soon they had created a television show (IVTV) making it possible for the whole world to see the wild microcosmos of Isla Vista on channel 17.
The show reflects the real life in IV, a college town adjacent to UC Santa Barbara
as real as real can be.
The future of IVTV
There is no future without you, the audience & the great people of IV. We hope you stay with us!
So if you keep busy buing those tapes,
we might move from a camper to a real house!
IVTV and the press
Or what the media outside of IV thinks about us.
Why did they pull the plug on the show?
An online article in the Daily NEXUS
describes it very well.
Another article on IVTV and the very sad February 23rd
incident in Isla Vista can be found in the
LA Times.
About the following trail and the IVTV footage taken on that day is an
article again in the
Daily NEXUS.
